Best Oil Pressure Switch Location

I've searched endlessly to find a legit location to mount an oil pressure switch and only seem to become more confused than before I started. What I've learned is there might be multiple plugs and they should be near the oil filter location. With that said, which of the below are valid locations and what is the best one to mount a oil pressure switch for disabling an electronic pump in the event of a crash, etc.

BTW, where did you get that boot?

I wrapped my wires in electrical tape and it has done a real good job as a water holding tank.

Looks like the boot for the power wire off the back of the alternator.

Re: Best Oil Pressure Switch Location

Would this also be a good place to put in an oil temp sensor??

You could do that too. You could even put a "T" in that spot and have both the hobbs switch and a temp sender there.

Boot is from the back of a foreign car headlight, don't remember the make. I don't think it was any Asian made vehicle. If you don't have a boot I would not put tape on it but just leave it bare.
