Rough idle when warm.

I have a '95 c&c with 3 yard dump. It has 97,xxx original miles. Bought from original owner. On first start-up, the truck idles smooth. As the engine warms up, the idle gets rough and shakey. Some, but not all the injectors were replaced with remans at around 80,000. The engine does not lose any power. It pulls like a team of Clydesdale Horses. The only mods I have made are 3" dp, cat delete, ccv and k&n filter. Repairs this year have been a new icp and plug, cps, water pump, thermostat and new Hayden fan clutch. The engine oil and filter only have about 3300 miles on them, but they've been hard ones. The icp was bad when I did the oil change so the idle was terrible. But changing the icp did make a large improvement. As did the exhaust mods. I used Mobil Delvac 15w-40 oil. Which I don't know why, I've always been a Shell person. It has a 192 degree Ford thermostat. It does not run hot. It barely gets warm enough to make heat. It's really more of a nuisance that anything. But I wouldn't mind getting to the bottom of it. Thanks.

Re: Rough idle when warm.

Is the nut on the IPR coil snug? Maybe it needs IPR O-rings or maybe a top set of injector o-rings is leaking by (just throwing that out there). Cheers!

Re: Rough idle when warm.

Okay. I'll have to do some research. What do I do to the IPR? Buy a rebuild kit and start checking it out?

Re: Rough idle when warm.

All you need is the O ring kit for the test...

Re: Rough idle when warm.

I'll read up on that surgery. I'm sure there's something here in the archives. Thanks.
