Transfer case fluid?

What fluid is everyone using for their TC? Local parts store has Mercon V and Dex/Merc.

I have always, always, used whatever my auto trans has used. Well except for my old Jeep Quadratrac which sadly rusted away years ago. Black two door, power rear window, big block that accelerated like a friggin rocket and had such a nice exhaust rumble that it was almost better then sex listening to it. WAHHHH I WANT MY JEEP BACK.

SCT, no studs...yet, Dual OEM intake air filter housings, Banks intercooler & intake elbow, Banks exhaust syatem, Windrunner ported intake manifold, Bullet Proof Diesel remote oil cooler & thermostat, AirDog2 (plus a couple spares), Power steering filter (Amsoil dual-bypass), MagTec deep ATF pan, Electric oil pre-lub pump, Dakota Digital gauges.

Ford calls for Mercon, so what ever flavor you want to put in will work fine

Looking for Blue 40-20-40 seat for OBS. PM me if any known

Re: Transfer case fluid?

I have a 6 gallon case of Schaeffer's All trans for the BTS that is coming. After doing some reading I just plan on using the All Trans in the trans and transfercase.....hopefully there will be just enough.

Re: Transfer case fluid?

BTS/4R100 pan/Torque convertor uses about 20 quarts, more if you have a V-10 or 6.0 trans cooler.
