Re: 97 psd fuel presure

Is the fuel tank air locked so that the lift pump can not pull fuel. You could try adding a BB to the pressure regulator to see if the fuel pressure still falls off.

Re: 97 psd fuel presure

i have the bb mod. and i took the lines all off down be the tank selector cuz i figured that to be the problem. so i bypassed that. also i could blow right through the lines the feed and the return.

You could have bad injector o rings. How old or how many miles on injectors? How good are your rubber lines for the fuel system? At fuel filter housing and pump, also the return lines.

Re: 97 psd fuel presure

If you have a lot of miles on the rig then I would say you are right in thinking the lift pump. For me the only time I have replaced them is when they start leaking in the valley. Replaced one at 198,000 and on another truck at 297,000. If you think there is say more then 200,000 on the truck then I would look at an injector.

Re: 97 psd fuel presure

How long does it take for the preasure to drop that far? To me it sounds like the tank is air locked. pull the cap off the tank run it if that fix it clean your tank vent.
