I think Jon would have those numbers. He did mine when he had my tranny out for the torque converter and pump mods.

Re: obs up pipes and gaskets

Might want to check into using International'a bellows uppipe kit 1843486C92. Has everything to install including bolts except the turbo exhaust inlet y-adaptor and the literature that comes with the kit indicates the casting number is the same as the original OBS turbo y piece. I haven't installed the kit I have yet so can't comment on how hard it is to install compared to the stock uppipes. Driver's side may be kind of tight because of the bellows section. If this kit works, its a good deal since I'm on my third set of uppipes in 190K miles.

Re: obs up pipes and gaskets

Here's a little tip that worked for me...

After going through passenger side donut and pipe in less than 50k, I was looking at the parts and realizing that the amount of "crush" that goes onto the donut is limited by the point at which the flange seats against the turbo inlet housing (baby's butt part). So before installing the new pipe and donut, I ground about 1/8" off the face of the flange that pulls up against the inlet housing. I Got Crush now Baby! I also used accousti-seal exhaust assembly sealer all over the donut. I think it is a Walker product that is also available under the NAPA label.

Good luck and God bless,

Re: obs up pipes and gaskets

The problem with the stock Ford setup is that heat expansion eventually causes the pipe and gasket to rub against each other until the pipe material wears away causing seal failure. The International kit addresses this by having the uppipe flange solidly bolted against the exhaust turbo inlet adaptor and having the bellows flex to allow for heat growth. There is no longer any relative motion to cause wearing of the pipe.

I tried your trick of shaving material off of the uppipe clamp this time but feel eventually the gasket/pipe interface will start to wear. I don't expect to need the current uppipes last more than six months anyway. This would be a good fix for reusing a set of worn uppipes though.
