Finally got around to doing the CCV mod, previous owner gave me a kit he purchsed and never installed.

So, I pulled the ccv off flipped it around. Plumbed it into the canister, then back into the factory piping.

Fire the truck up, didnt sound quite the same....

Pull the dipstick up, it sprays/bubbles oil out all over the place..Put it back in.
Go to unscrew the cap, just before its all the way loose it hisses and releases pressure?!?
Check dipstick again, still spits/bubbles oil out.

Needless to say, I put the factory set-up back on. NO oil spitting, and no pressurized crankcase?

Did I do something wrong and clog the breather? Or is this uncovering a problem.

Also.. how much oil is too much "going into" the turbo? I assume the oil in the following pic is from the CCV going into the intake. For what it's worth the Previous owner said he had rebuild it 6 months prior to me purchasing the truck. (1 year ago now)
I felt NO shaft play, neither up/down, or in/out, the fins also felt very smooth.
Peak boost is typically 26PSI steady. :) (That normal for a chip/intake/exhaust truck)

What type of Kit was it ? Any pics of it installed just did one on my friends rig. Basically it's not venting out the system thats why youre building pressure.

That's what I assumed as well, maybe I plumved the nhoses into the wrong parts of the canister?

Your CCV is not working right and cant vent out the pressure.. That will take the seals out of the turbo if you are not carefull, I would not start it up intill you fix or change the CCV.

I changed it to stock form and there's no pressure buildup, you still think it shouldn't be drove?

Or did you mean if I had left the catchcan set-up on it?

Yea I meant that if you left the other set up on... But I would still check to see if oil is leaking out your turbo.. I could have blow a seal with that much pressure..

get rid of the canister. i made one and it made too much resistance and started leaking oil out of places i dident know i had. just run the hose down under the truck and dont look back.

just what i did. and no problems.

Yeah I just ran a hose down to the ground as well. The only downside is that is hazes non stop.
