new truck

I am new to the forum. I totalled my 1998 dodge 12v and am in the market for a new truck. I am leaning toward a ford crewcab powerstroke. Dodges cab does not compair. My wife already drives a 2002 excursion. Does anyone have any input on the two chasis? I have found some 1997's for a reasonable price but like the SD cabs more. I would like manual tranny, I tow often and think they do better. I am having a hard time making a decision. Any help is appreciated.

Re: new truck

Yeah the only real advantage I can see of an OBS over a SD is the body...I love the way the OBS looks, plus they're usually a little cheaper. But if you can find a late 99 or newer I'd go with that, that extra gear is a god send.

97 F250 CCSB: 238/100s, 38r w/1.15 housing, SD conversion, 5" exhaust, Stealth pumps, e-fuel, 910 springs, pushrods, headstuds, intercooled, kevlar/ceramic clutch, tuned by Matt, gauges, 4" lift on 37s. D60 and ZF6 next on the list.

97 F250 ECSB: 3" downpipe, chip tunes by Jody, gauges stock height on 35s. SOLD
