TC lockup

What gears does the TC lock up in a E4OD?

Looking for Blue 40-20-40 seat for OBS. PM me if any known

Just out of curiosity, why do you not like it? The trans more efficiently transmits power to the ground when the converter is locked.

Driving around town when the TC locks it bogs the motor and it needs to kick down if I need to pass somebody. In my light tow mode it will not lock up as soon and it is much nicer doing stop and go traffic.

According to my Ford book it can, yes. The PCM can engage the Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid in all positions except Park, Neutral, Manual 1st, and Reverse.

Tuning issue, it is usually set by mph. Mine used to lock at 38 mph and unlock at the same speed, not by gearing. PCM locks and unlocks the converter.
