What do you mean by "turning off and on"?

The truck would idle high and kill. The mechanic had his computer hooked up and he said that the pcm is turning off and on.

Re: I need some help!

It could be many things in wiring that could cause it (first, does it have an aftermarket chip installed?). Best bet is to get a hold of an Electrical and Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual (EVTM ... about $22 at Helm Inc) and start checking all the power feeds to the PCM (wires, fuses, relays, PCM poer diode, etc.). The EVTM makes it a lot easier to visualize what's going on. Cheers!

Re: I need some help!

I think I'd be looking for PCM wiring problems if that is the case (just my guess though). Cheers!
