tranny problem help!

Hey yall, so i went to put my truck in park today when i got home and it wouldnt go into park. it would go up into reverse fine but it would just not go into park. It felt like something was blocking it and i couldnt figure it out. It finally went into park after some effort. Then when i drove to my shop about 5 miles away and put it into park the same thing happened. but this time it wouldnt even go into reverse without at least 15 different tries. When driving it shifts fine and everything seems okay? Any ideas boys? If this helps it was also snowing today when this all happened about 3-4 inches? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Re: tranny problem help!

Probably the trans range switch on the side of the transmission. The switch goes bad inside and jams up, usually the shaft is rusty and you will destroy the original getting it off, make sure you clean the rust off the before you try to install the new one.
