Re: I dont have a clue whats wrong..

Take out the TC lock up switch and see what it does.

Re: I dont have a clue whats wrong..

Are you jumping the SOLENOID (on the starter) or the RELAY (on the fender). So when you say "truck will not start", it's not even cranking? And you have to jump the fender relay?

This is all pointing to the range selector switch on the tranny (aka MLPS, aka neutral safety switch). Try starting it in neutral. Also try holding the key in START while nudging the shifter from Neutral toward Reverse and toward Drive. ***NOTE*** - Of course, make SURE you've got your foot FIRMLY on the brake, might even want to hit the parking brake, while you do this. If that switch is out of adjustment (which the above procedure is meant to determine), it could start with the tranny in gear, and as soon as the TC engages, you're truckin'.

The p0500 code says that the pcm could be bad.. could this be my problem?

Re: I dont have a clue whats wrong..

Also when you drive it it slams into gears and when you hit the brakes the speedo and odometer work

Re: I dont have a clue whats wrong..

Could be that the whole switch connector on the tranny has come disconnected. Slide under and take a look at it. IIRC, it's on the driver's side of the tranny.

Re: I dont have a clue whats wrong..

i just installed a new trans and when I took it out for the first drive, the truck had the same issues, ABS light on and the Overdrive light was flashing. At what I considered normal pedal position for typical acceleration, I was only at roughly 50% the speed I would usually be at. I jumped under the truck, unplugged the switch connector and then plugged it in again and all lights were off and it shifted and acted perfectly normal. Not saying this is the case for you, but that was my experience.
