Unhappy temp guage problem.

Were does the factory temp guage hook up on a 7.3? Mine has seemed to quit working..

the sending unit is on top of the water pump .

Blue 2012 XLT SCLB 4X4 , 38,550 miles, 3:55's & 18's Camper and Tow packages. Edge insight, Airlift Wireless compressor & Air Bag set-up, Dieslesite filter.

It's more likely the gauge head in the cluster than the sender. The cluster is "segmented"'; you can get just that segment (the one with the temp gauge and oil "gauge") at LMC, or pull one off a junkyard truck. Or go aftermarket and use that hole for the aftermarket sender. I'd love to see a mod of the OEM cluster segment with an aftermarket gauge head in its place.

Well it worked for bout a week after I bought the truck.. now it won't move ecept on the occasion it will rise to the normal line for a short time an drop again..

Mine used to do that, it would stay around the N and O.

When I first bought my OBS... The gauge would barely move, replaced the sensor and the Tstat and wahlah, gauge sits in the middle/left of the NORMAL and i got lots of heat...

I may have to try that.. mine doesn't even hardly rise off the C but I seem to have decent heat..
