IPR

I was wondering if anyone know how to test I Ipr when it is removed from the truck. It's a 95 stroker that's been down for a while. I heard you can run twelve volts to it and should hear a click. I tried this and didn't hear a click but I don't know how trustworthy this info is. Thanks in advance.

Re: IPR

I'm not too sure on that one...... but if it was in the truck you could check the Duty cycle and HPOP pressures with a good scanner..since it is out you might want to replace it or rebuild it however.....

Re: IPR

Ok I checked the pressure and it wouldn't even register but I'm un sure if it's the Ipr or the pump itself

Re: IPR

Have you checked to see if the IPR coil is open? In most cases it's not the pump (they are pretty reliable). Cheers!

Re: IPR

How did you test the pressure ? Mechanically with a guage or electronically with scanner ? Maybe you have a toasted injector o-ring ( or a few ) or other leaks in the HPOP system or you have air in it ?
