Corrosion in bottom of fuel filter housing

So i pulled the filter housing to clean it since i found about 1/2" of junk in the bottom. The bottom of the housing had deep corrosion in the bottom. has anyone else had this problem? ive already spoke with "Kreem", they said that there kit that works on motorcycle gas tanks would work fine with diesel fuel. i think im going to pour a layer in the bottom and try it.

I do run on B99 fuel so im already rebuilding the housing seals and the fuel pressure regulator. the screen on the regulator was clogged and the hoses to the housing were soft so im replacing those also was gates greenshield hose (bio friendly). i also found the fuel heater loose. i think im going to delete it since miami gets so cold. any input?

Re: Corrosion in bottom of fuel filter housing

I think I would just replace it with a used filter housing...
