Engine gone or just minor issues?
We've got a 97 F350 with about 320000kms on it and we now have an issue which might be a shot motor but maybe not. When it's idling it sounds really rough (like it's running on a few too little cylinders) and when you open the oil fill cap its blowing out of there quite a bit! When in park, if you put the petal to the floor it slowly climbs up to about 2500rpm but it just can't get over that mark. Driving down the road you have no power whatsoever, empty it can do about 70km/hr but that's it. One guy was thinking dirty oil pressure sensor was the reason for lack of power and rough idle but another guy says since it's blowing such pressure out of the filler neck then it's more than likely the engines gone. Any ideas?
