Solenoid next to fuel bowl

What is the solenoid under the plastic cover by the fuel bowl? Mine is broken, yet the truck still starts and runs fine.

Know of any good place to get a new one? Any recommended brands? O'Reilly Auto has them for $72.

Re: Solenoid next to fuel bowl

Go to Napa and ask for a GPR-109... Just said this elsewhere.

Do not tell them you need a glow plug relay for a powerstroke or they will sell you a $75 POS.

You need a GPR-109 and you will walk out for about $35 bucks.
