d60 front axle conversion

I know this has been talked about alot, but without purchasing a Reverse shackle kit, Can you install: d60 spring, cross arm, steering linkage from a 95 f350 into a 96 f250 ttb? I know that it is going to ride rough, but will it be safe and reliable?

thanks.

Re: d60 front axle conversion

Yes. You don't need to do a rsk unless you wanna run superduty springs. Using f250 ttb springs will give you the roughest ride.

Yes it will be fine. The rs kit is not needed unless you wanna run springs from a SD.

Re: d60 front axle conversion

I just did the swap using the RSK and SD leafs..Isnt the RSK designed for obs leafs? I had to cut the spacers out of the kit to move it 3.5 inchs forward to make room for the sd leafs.

Re: d60 front axle conversion

Just finished the swap on my 95 F250 w an axle from a 92 F350. Went fairly easy, did it by myself. Did swap brakelines and driveshaft. Still need to swap out transfer case yokes, tomorrows job.

Re: d60 front axle conversion

Bought a complete parts truck. Will probably swap the rear block also. Not sure, the 95 F250 sits pretty high in the rear as is with some extra leafs.
