Block/head temps

Getting ready to paint my block/heads. What temp rating paint should I be looking for?

Normal engine paint should work...I've measured temps with my infrared gun but can't remember off the top of my head.

The outside of the block and the heads never really get hot hot they are a little more than warm to the touch but not enough to burn you. I'd say just regular engine paint. It's what I used on my block, international red and a semi gloss almost flat black and it's holding up wonderfully.

Autometer Cobalt Gauges
