Best diff for plowing?

Im swapping my front axle set up for a D60 this summer, rear limited slip has worn clutches and im looking to upgrade both front and rear differentials for the best traction in the white stuff. From the research i have already done it appears the Detroit truetrac locker is a popular choice along with the original Dertroit (ratchet type) Locker. What is the popular vote on this matter? The truck is used for plowing and towing with no daily driver use. I do plow some small apt's so maneuverability is needed as well as reliability. Thanx in advance for the input.

Re: Best diff for plowing?

A locker in the rear will tend to "push" a truck. Especially in the snow

Looking for Blue 40-20-40 seat for OBS. PM me if any known

Re: Best diff for plowing?

The truetrac seems to be the middle ground of a true locker and a LSD. No clutches to wear or the noise and tempramental function of a ratcheting locker.

Re: Best diff for plowing?

I plowed for many years in my 94 with an original style detroit locker. No complaints.
