wont start 95

There is no fuel in the filter and i believe it has an aftermarket alarm. It has fuel in the tanks but not in the filter. Is there a fuel reset switch or could it be the alarm?

Re: wont start 95

I dont even think it's the alarm because on the OBS trucks the fuel pump is in the engine valley and its mechanitcal. What does it do when you try to start it? Turn over? Do you get the wait to start light? Do you have a CEL?

Re: wont start 95

It has the wait to start light and everything and it turns over but wont start. I looked in the fuel filter and there was no fuel in their. I tried to prime it by putting fuel in their but it still did not start.

Re: wont start 95

the same just happened to me last week. If the fuel bowl is empty then it MIGHT be the fuel pump. Banjo bolt is either 1 1/4 or a 32mm (dont lose the metal o-ring, 2 bolts holding it to the valley turn engine over by hand fuel pump comes out, replace put banjo bolt back on then the 2 mounting bolts, fill fuel bowl, check hpop, then crank. It took me 2 cycles and it started, runs 10x better. i got my pump from Napa it says that it flows 30 GPH while the ones at advance or auto zone say they flow 18 GPH. Hope it helps
