Re: swapping E4OD to zf5

Best thing you can do is have a donor truck sitting next to yours... That way all the parts are there.

I did the swap a while back. Had a complete donor truck. Parts needed off the top of my head... tranny, clutch/flywheel, front driveline, rear driveline, zf5 PCM, ZF5 crossmember, zf5 wiring harness, pedal assembly, shifter/boot, slave/master cylinder I'm sure there is more that I cant remember ATM.

Re: swapping E4OD to zf5

Yes, you need a longer front and a shorter rear due to the transmission being different lengths than each other. Unless its a 2wd then you only have to deal with the rear.

Re: swapping E4OD to zf5

I just did this swap it is the best thing that I have done with this truck I had a donor truck that I took everything I needed out of none of it was hard everything bolted right in place only took us 12 hours from the time we drove it in until we drove it out. I just got the rearend gears finished swapping out for 3:55's the truck drives so much nicer now it rolls only thing left is the intercooler and tunes from DP tuner. Good luck with your project if you do it.
