Questions

I have several questions that have been bothering me for a while and rather than Make multiple threads I figured I would save space and just make one.

1. What are the highest tranny temps I should see with my BTS? the other day after about an hour of Highway time at 75mph it saw almost 250.

2. Why is my truck rough starting on wet days and when I park on a hill head first on the high side? is it possible for some sort of fuel drainage scenerio? My fuel bowl is leaking as well from the little sensor comming out of the side with the wire comming from it on the drivers side looking at the bowl. I had to sip tie it in tight to keep it from leaking.

3. The other day while driving my truck did this really weird buck almost like it just completly stoped for a complete second and jerked. The best way to describe it would be like the shifting mechanisms on drag motercycles where they stall the engine really quickly in order to shift. It didnt drive funny or shift weird or loose power it just jolted all of a sudden and almost like died for a split second.

"The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far is as needed?"

Re: Questions

You have a major problem with those temp's, better check for flow. Do you have a trans cooler?

We only carry the BEST parts and never compromise just to get a sale.

Re: Questions

If your transmission is getting up to 250 you have something wrong and are causing damage to your transmission.

Re: Questions

I think I am going to try a new cooler. Like I said though we cleaned the lines so that shouldnt be the problem.

Re: Questions

Junk the stock cooler and get the biggest aftermarket cooler you can fit. Check your fluid flow..Idle engine and see how long to pump a qt.

Re: Questions

see how long to flow it from the hose into the cooler by unhooking it? I was planning on getting this model cooler.

I may ditch the factory drive fan as well and remove the shroud and install several electric fans on switches. any suggestions on good durable fans?
