Running rough after fuel filter change

Ive searched to try to find something on this already and have found similar things but not quite whats going on here, so i took the fuel filter out and in the bottom was sandy gunk so i took the whole fuel bowl out and cleaned it put it all back in correctly, or so i think, I primed it 3 times before starting did all that, now itll start and idle rough for a while and if you give it gas then let off itll die checked my #22 fuse its good soooo....Im lost, and I have to get to work in the morning....

so after further investigation, when i first start it up itll run smooth as glass for about 4 to 5 minutes, then the rpm's will slightly go up and down and then they start going up and down higher and lower till the truck eventually dies...

Well you did more than a filter change. I would check all connections, like the valve cover wiring harnesses or IPR connector. maybe you knocked something loose. Did you clean the FPR screen? If you had sand and grime in the fuel bowl, I can only imagine how dirty that is.
