On the road again.

Woo hoo!!!!

After months of chasing down little issues after rebuilding my motor she is back on the road for good.

I put 300 miles on her in the last 2 days averaging 18 to 15 miles per gallon.

I did come up with a few more issues to resolve.

1 the clutch grabs and shutters when taking off.

2 the starter bolts backed out.

3 a few oil leaks showed up

That is about it. over all i cant be more happy the truck runs and drives great.

If any ones wondering it is a 96 CC LB 5 speed.

And i think it has the lowest gears in the world. 2300 rpms at 65 in 5th gear. I will have to look into that.

Re: On the road again.

Thanks.

I think it may be the speed that off. I have 315/70/16 on there and I doubt the speedo has been re calibrated. I will use my gps to double check it.

Did they make lower gears to 4.11?

Re: On the road again.

obs right?, stock gears are 3.55's or 4.10's you are taching higher than 4.10's if your speed is accurate.

Re: On the road again.

With 315s your speedo should be 5mph slow. So when it says your doing 65mph you are really doing 70mph.

Re: On the road again.

Adjusted the speedo and every thing looks much better now. 65mph at about 2K.

I am spending way to much in gas but I am having a ball driving this truck around. At this rate i may hit that 10K mile break in by years end hahahah..

Next on the list is shocks. Really want to find a dual shock system for the front.

Keep it between the lines? bah wheres the fun in that.....
