97 icp questions

I have some running problems with starting and dying with cel on after two times it goes away and no cel. Tried pulling codes and with several different readers found nothing. I was told to check the connections to several things one being the icp when i unplugged it there is oil on the plug end and in the icp. When i unplugged it and started it it stopped dying and the cel stayed on. Does this mean it is bad? It idles better with it unplugged than plugged in.

I would say yes, time to replace the icp sensor.

Dont mean to derail the thread but is the truck suposed to stay running when you unplug the icp?? Mine runs like CRAP with it pluged in. Truck jerks so bad and wont stop unless you smash it to the floor or just let all that way out... So i just run around with it unpluged and it runs WAY better.. Any ideas?

If its leaking you need a new one . It may not fix all the issues , may need a new IPR
