Anti Theft light flashing and no start HELP

What controls the injector timing? How could the anti-theft disable the truck so it wont start?

PCM via the CPS

What are you wanting to do in regard to anti theft

Re: Injector timing on a 95.

The anti-theft light is flashing and I beleive its not allowing the truck to fire. HPOP has oil in it, tach is moving, wts light cycles like normal. Fuel pump is filling filter housing. I am lost. What is the cmp. The camshaft position sensor? Where would the pcm be located ?

Not sure what the cmp is... The PCM is located behind the ebrake assembly.

Is it possible that your truck as an aftermarket alarm and/or system installed that uses the anti theft light on the dash that has been triggered? I did not think these trucks had anti theft from the factory but I could be wrong. I do not recall anyone else with this issue either.

Cool Re: Anti Theft light flashing and no start HELP

This may or may not help but it's worth looking into. 3 weeks ago I had the same thing happen to me after I washed my engine down at the car wash. It turned out to be the fuse going to the ignition cause a noise suppressor got shorted out and caused a 90 amp load on the ignition. (not on a diesel) but it's possible that you could have something similar. Mine wouldn't even crank and my factory alarm light was flashing. Just a thought good luck..

Re: Anti Theft light flashing and no start HELP

According to both the owner's manual and the FSM, unlocking the door with the key should disarm the anti-theft. It specifically says you should turn the key as far as it will go. It might be worth unlocking the passenger door with the key, in case the switch on the driver's side is inop.
