Quick Question

Hey guys I'm just lookin for advice to calm my thinking. A little over 2,000 miles ago I changed my oil with 5W-40 Rotella T6 Synthetic and added some Rev-X oil additive.

Periodically I check my oil (about once or twice every two weeks) well after over 2,000 miles I haven't lost or gained any oil, it's always stayed right around the full mark on the dipstick. Also I only check it after the Truck has been sitting a bit to let the oil drain back down a bit.

The oil smells good, doesn't smelt burnt or like diesel just smells like oil that's been running through the motor. Should I be worried about not having any oil consumption? Any thoughts or opinions on this are welcome.

Re: Quick Question

Why would you worry about that.... Its when you start USING oil that you need to worry a little.... I use the Rotellas 15W40 regular oil , and My truck uses /leaks 1- 1.5 litres between changes (10,000 kms) and that is Normal I was told ...

Re: Quick Question

I agree. Were you using oil before the swap?
