Ideally you are looking for a PCM with TDE1 Code marked on it. It should be on the tag that the above number you noted is on. The TDE1 that Countryboyrob noted has the best shift strategy for the auto tranny for your truck. The other option is to get and any other auto PCM and send it off to a programer and have them re-program it. Or pending what/if you have modifications on your truck you could get a programmed chip from a number of programers. I use Tony Wildman (Total Diesel Performance) for tuning and like what he has done for my truck.

Where are you located? It might be wise as a suggestion for you to go to top left corner of page and click on User CP in there you can fill out your signature and in this way people will see what you have for a vehicle and be better able to assist.

Re: pcm question

I bought mine from the PCM rebuilding company in Florida. Cost about $350 or something.

'97 F-350 CC 5-spd, Pyro, fuel and boost gauges, Banks intercooler, H2E turbo, Adrenaline HPOP, huge clutch, custom ADII regulated fuel system. Should be about 500 hp at the rear, don't know about torque. THIS IS MY BATTLE TANK- Project in Process

Re: pcm question

After 97 they were split shot injectors and the transmission shift strategy is different... any TDE1 or TDE0 or the other ones I mentioned will work....Since there is no 98 model year in the F series after 97 they changed...
