horrible fuel mileage on 97 rclb

My truck is getting 8 miles to the gallon around town. last summer i was getting 19 on the freeway with 35's and no lift. This winter i installed a intake, 3" d/p and 4" exhaust. the truck is all stock. But now i have 37's and a 4 inch lift. I think maybe i need a new turbo cuz it has never been touched, and it has 285.000 miles on it. could it be the lift and tires and winter fuel or something else. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

your tires dont help any but winter fuel sucks the life out of fuel mileage. But i would say those injectors are up for being rebuilt maybe check filters ect. Keep your rpm under 2k

I hope the injectors aren't bad, i don't have that kind of money layin around right now. But I'm sure they probably need it cuz they have never been touched. How much will winter fuel drop your mileage.

Winter fuel knocks 3mpg out of my 6.0. Extended idling REALLY hurts my mileage in the winter.

I lost about 3 mpg with the winter fuel and also extending warm up idling like others have said. All these things can help kill your MPG.

You re-calibrated your speedo after changing tire size, right?
