Problem Installing Track Bar Ball Joint - It wants to go in at an angle

I got the old one removed from a 2012 F-350 4x4 with no real issues, I just cut the threads like I read on here that others have done and it pressed right out.

I am trying to install the replacement and every time it wants to go in at a bit of an angle. I tried to tap it in a little with a hammer and it doesn't really even want to start. I put the slamp on with everything straight but once I start pressing it in it begins to go at an angle. I cut the threaded bar on the ball joint press in half so I can fit it under the frame rail.

I put it in the freezer for the day and I am hoping that someone may have a tip for me on how to get this thing in straight.

The reinstall portion has by far been the toughest part of this job!
