HIDs and Strobes...

Anyone done it ,can the ballasts take it?

I have a kit sitting around so I was wondering if I could use it or not.. wondering if anyone has tried it..

do you want to make the HID into a strobe? i dont understand what your trying to do

thats not possible, you could hook then to a headlight flasher, but the ballast wouldnt stand a chance. the only way to make an HID "strobe" would be to cut voltage to where it tries to turn on but cant.

what kind of effect you looking for? really fast strobe flash or more of a wig-wag?

You can buy special headlight bulbs for the crown vics that have strobes and headlights mixed... may or may not work in the housing. but they are not HID.

Its not a big deal, I already have HIDs and I had a strobe kit sitting around, I'll find something else to use it on...
