Hydronic Diesel Heaters...

Anybody use one to their trucks during the winter?

I have one, been using it for years now and I was climbing under the hood the other day over on the passenger side and now the heater system is giving me a "F48" code and wont fire up.

Anyone experience this before? I have looked for loose wires but cant seem to find anything

Re: Hydronic Diesel Heaters...

maybe i have the spelling wrong, ill have to run down and check.

Its the name of the pump for the webasto air heaters for a diesel engine. Has a little ignitor that burns diesel to heat up and circulate your coolant through your engine so you dont have to plug your truck in or leave it idling when its cold.

Re: Hydronic Diesel Heaters...

Those diesel fueled coolant heaters are commonly used in the northern climates (arctic). They are not cheap, but run on way less diesel than letting the truck idle.

Webasto BlueHeat is the google search phrase

Re: Hydronic Diesel Heaters...

Sorry, can't help with F 48 code. Need to have diagnostic PC according to manual. Here it is - if you have the TSL-17 Coolant heater. See if you can find a model number on it.
