Re: HID for a 2002 f-250

they said when u switch from low to high the high woulld blink on and off and that they would have to wire in a whole bunch of resistors and that might not guarantee to make it work... i dunno

Re: HID for a 2002 f-250

Sounds like you bought a rather poor hid kit. A good kit is plug and play.

I got my kit here custom HID conversions, HID kits, LED, CCFL specialists - retrosolutions

Works great. If you click the link about my hids in my signature theres a howto I did on installing them with a bunch of pictures on it.

Sorry Im not more help but with so many different ways of setting hids up when its not a plug and play kit its kind of hard to do much. Also you might want a lower # than 9000 thats going to be pretty dim and very blue if not purple.

4300k is the color of the sun and the brightest hids. The number is the color. Has nothing to do with how bright they are in itself.

Re: HID for a 2002 f-250

9000k are bit over kill, ive got a ebay kit and it plugged right in. Ive got buddys that have got different ones and worked. You must of got a odd kit. 6000k are pirfect, very bright and a slight blue tint that is noticable from stock headlights.

Send them back. You will NOT want 9K, it will be purple and have low light output. I personally like 5K, I know they are not the brightest but are still bright, but I like that color.
