05-up headlights opinons

And I'm trying to figure out which ones I want to get, the standard ones or the Harley? And the color of my truck is that dark green almost blue.

Anything dark colored is going to look good with Harley lights... Either way it will look good. If you have a chrome front end then the standard headlights will be nice too...

My vote would be for the HD lights!

Also the hd light looks good on white trucks also.

I have the same color yamt03. I just did the 05 front end treatment with the HD lights. Looks really cool all painted to match. I will post pictures once it is finished and in the light.

Sucks that he had that truck stolen, one of only two people I've made a 99-04 bumper for and there was only one other person with the shock clamps I did for him.

Re: 05-up headlights opinons

Just don't put aftermarket bulbs in the newer style headlight enclosures and you won't have to see the little reflector cup ooze down over the bulb....

The older style headlights didn't use this technology of throwing the light back onto the rear wall and letting it reflect back out the front from there. They just let the bulb shine straight out through the front lens that was made to diffuse the light. The new style uses the back wall to diffuse the light and the front lens is clear. Looks cool and all.

Unfortunately, the new design focuses all of those photons leaving that bulb directly in one very small spot on the back of that headlight enclosure.

Don't go any farther than the silverstar bulbs or you can buy yourself a new pair of headlights.

Two cents.

Oh, and I like the regular ones better than the HD.

Anyone ever find it? Seems like a truck that could not go anywhere without getting noticed. That would suck. I can't imagine dealing with the insurance companies on that one....
