Cool New DB Electrical High Output Alternator

DB Electrical is now powder coating their alternators They said that they could do any color I wanted but I was kind of afraid what I would have ended up with if I said the same color as my pipe which is copperhead so I went with gloss black Turned out pretty nice. It's model 8476-200A which is the part number for a 200amp 2006 6.0L w/single alternator. I really like how it has the red battery connect on it compared to the 7.3L version I bought last year. Overall I'm really impressed with the way it looks and hopefully if the weather is good tomorrow (30% chance for rain) it will be installed

Current- 2006 Harley Davidson Edition F250 6.0L w/a "BUILT" engine, Unfortunately mis-assembled and installed by CenTex Diesel and a NAPD Heavy Hauler RACE SERIES Transmission

VERY nice. If you don't mind me asking how much did it set you back? Need to see where it falls on the mod list lol. Are you going to upgrade your wiring as well when you put in the alternator? This in preperation for a big stereo??

Alternator-$239
powder coat-$40 (IIRC, they forgot to charge my cc and when I brought it up they said they'd kick it in for free so they would have to charge again since I was a repeat customer)
4ga Wiring kit- $44.95- they will make one for you for the $44.95 if you have the measurements or just send you this kit if you want to DIY it <--you can add powder coating to any alt they sell on that website but if they don't have what you want listed just call them and tell them Scott from Corpus Christi TX sent ya!
$15 shipping
No stereo planned yet, just wanting to upgrade the charge power.

Re: New DB Electrical High Output Alternator

That does not look like it was powder coated, it looks to have been painted. I only say that because it looks as if there is overspray on the center rough cast section/ vents. Maybe it's just the lighting in the picture but if it was powder coated, it should not have overspray on it. Maybe they just did not tape it off very well either.

You can purchase that extended red power post from Alternatorparts.com if you have a alternator that does not have one already. They are kind of needed if you want to put a larger than 4ga crimp ring on. I had to grind my stock power connection down to fit a 0ga crimp ring on it. I need to order that extended power post for mine.

Nice looking alternator by the way and a very good price.
