Fender Flare Trimming

I was wondering if you guys had to trim your fender flares before you got them painted. I bought a set of Stampede Ruff Riderz Fender Flares and I am getting them painted tomorrow. They have the black trim that goes between them and the fender so I am guessing that will take up any gaps in the flares. I was wondering if you guys fussed over how close they fitted or if you just left them.

Re: Fender Flare Trimming

I have the same flares on my truck they fit pretty much perfect. I would say put them up to your truck before you paint them to make sure.

Re: Fender Flare Trimming

Cabelas was the cheapest I found. I also had a gift card from the in-laws so that helped.
