Painting Interior Trim Pieces

Hey all,
I am thinking about painting some interior trim pieces (door pieces where window controls are, dash) on my 05. It's a white lariat with tan interior, I was going to paint them white to match. Looks good on my 02 grey/grey but the contrast is not the same w/o the dark interior pieces.
I was wondering if anyone has done this w/ white or a lighter color? I think the contrast might be interesting but I'd like to check it out first if possible.
Thanks.

Ok... Well... I do know that you wanna try to stick with one color... which I learned the hard way... And you MAY want to clear it... Which I ALSO learned the hard way... and you MAY not want to use too much clear... ALSO learned the hard way... And don't break your stuff when you take it off... HAHA. Yeah... Most of my mechanical knowledge is trial and error... and $$$$$$ lost.

Personally, I don't like the look of the dash in the pictures above!

Yeah... I definately grew out of that phase... I was thinking about coating it all with a high quality spray-on bed liner though...
