Which vacuum solenoid to do heater bypass mod?

I have a heater bypass mod that I did many years ago and my vacuum solenoid went out. When I carried it to the local auto parts store they couldn't find me another one.

Does anyone know where those came from? Which vehicle or any other info you can give me?

Thanks.

This what I used. It's generic part and got it from these guys. It can be plumbed normally open or normally closed.

That's the one.

I looked all over for it locally but could not find it. Does anyone know what OEM car that comes on where it goes on that OEM car?

I paid $11 for it last time but if I order from that site w/ shipping it costs me $34!

Vintage Air also sell it. Pain in the butt to find it on their site though.

That would be the bypass valve. The solenoid operates it.

Canuck, this the part on their website (p/n 11542-VUS Vacuum solenoid) you said was a pain? (It's page 33 in the catalog and it also has the 46103-VUH Vacuum heater control valve that goes under the hood into the heater hose that comes in Dieselsite's kit and it only took 1.5mins to find while eating, lol)

Current- 2006 Harley Davidson Edition F250 6.0L w/a "BUILT" engine, Unfortunately mis-assembled and installed by CenTex Diesel and a NAPD Heavy Hauler RACE SERIES Transmission

I think the one I use comes from a Aerostar as I recall. I found it on Ebay and it has more metal parts then some of them do.

I bought both parts from Vintage Air. They are local for me.
