Painted door handles and general upgrades to my truck

Ok. I picked up my 08 tailgate on Saturday. Now I have to take it to get it painted. So I figured, since he will be painting anyway....what about the door handles?

Can they prep and paint my xlt argent plastic ones.....or do I have to buy new handles that already have paint ?

Re: Painted door handles

they can paint them. they get sanded, primed, painted and cleared.
i just cleaned up some of my interior pieces and painted them body color. just takes a bit of time to clean them up.

not to go too far off track but DSD do you have any pics of the interior pieces you painted? I was thinking of painting all my woodgrain pieces black...just not sure how it would turn out

Re: Painted door handles

I'd like to see pics to,
I was also thinkin about painting the handles, I guess it's easier just to get the one's for the X though. Powerstrokeshop has them I think.

Re: Painted door handles

Well, they definately didnt make Prairie Tan for the Excursion so I know I cant buy them already painted to match.

I was hoping not to have to buy new handles and then have them painted. (to keep cost down). But I want the paint to stick.

Re: Painted door handles

I got mine too that way (excursion or king ranch handles). But if you want to save a couple hundred bucks and want to do some sanding... Every little bit counts sometimes...
