Re: power window and radio issue

Check the fuses again, the radio and windows and dome light are all on the same fuse, I want to say it is like #42 or 43 but I could be way off. I know when my radio and windows went out I checked 3 times before I found the fuse. Mine blew out when I pulled the dome light to fish my XM radio antenna wire. If you don't find it post back and I'll look it up.

Re: power window and radio issue

Well today before I left for work I went and looked at the truck, I turned it on and the radio and windows both worked. Can a bad fuse work intermitently? Or is this a wiring issue that is causing a short. Either way it's odd

Re: power window and radio issue

Ok just double checked and all fuses are good but still no windows or stereo. The wiring going into the back of the fuse panel looks good and those wires have power so I'm not sure what gives.

Re: power window and radio issue

Is it an aftermarket radio? My ex does that sometimes and I smack the dash above the radio and it starts working. I do have an aftermarket radio. Just my $.02

Re: power window and radio issue

well pulled out the fuse panel started checking wires and the light blue/black wire behind the big 30amp maxi fuse wasnt getting any power..not sure why...but as a temp solution i jumped another wire onto it and voila the windows and the stereo work..now i just need to find out why that wire doesnt have power...
