I need a wire under the steering wheel

I need to tap into a wire to light the gauge for my air bag compressor. Does anyone know what wire I need to tap into under the dash that is powered when the parking lights or dash illumination lights are on. I went looking for a wire with my probe and couldn't find one. I will say that the horn scared the s*&t out of me when I hit that wire.

Use Dennis' at Sinister Diesel's(previously known as ITP) gauge install instructions. Figures 7 and 9 will point you right to it.

IIRC, I used the brown wire behind the head light/parking light switch. I tapped into that so as long as I at least have my parking lights on, my gauge lights are on.

Re: I need a wire under the steering wheel

You can also get ilumination at the radio harness and the temp control if you are wiring gauges on that sside of the dash.
