no they aren't. Besttop are much cheaper and quality is poor. Warranty is also different. Fell free to call up Marty from Truck Toyz and he'd be happy to tell you. Stick with the Amp Steps, they rock

Thats good to know. I saw ads like this that made me think they are one in the same:

AMP Research Power Step By Bestop® for Ford® Super Duty F250/350 CrewCab 99-06 Bestop® Part# 7510401 - Fat Boy Customs

I have Amp Research on mine and I can tell you their customer service is second to none!! Even on my second hand steps they took care of me 100%, Wish there were more companies like Amp Research.

I have AMP Powersteps and love them.

I didn't know there was a difference. between the Bestops and AMPs. Learned something new. AGAIN.

I dunno the logistics of the 2 companies but I know the part numbers from Amp to Bestop are nearly identical FWIW.

I always thought they were one in the same.

I'm not sure there is a difference.....when I got mine....it shipped with 2 AMP motors(front mounts), and 2 Bestop rear mounts...
