Have to sell off my truck, lookin for input?

Well we have had 2 homes now for almost 2 3/4 yrs. We bought a log home before we sold off our old home, and with the market so bad in Indy we have not sold it yet. So now I`m goinng to have to sell off my truck so we can drop the price down far enough to sell off the house. anyway i know I`m going to get killed on all the aftermarket stuff, and I plan on take some stuff off. anyway if you got any tips on selling that would be great. I have not sold very many cars/trucks I just trade them in.Also I have around 91,000 miles on this truck , got any ideals what I should price it at? I was thinking low $ 20,000 , ( 22,000-23,000) area to start. Thanks for any and all input!!

Pull all the aftermarket stuff off & sell it on the side. It ain't going to get you that much more if you leave it on there. Price sounds about right for a dealership, I just saw a truck just like yours (shortbus, 02) but a XLT with 85k miles go for about $20k at a dealer. Only problem you'll have is someone getting a loan from the bank to buy it from a private seller. I know it can be done but it's usually harder.
Sorry to hear that you have to sell it, you plan on getting another one down the road?

Re: Have to sell off my truck, lookin for input?

Thanks guy`s!! I really bon`t want to take the lift off of it because I have 4:30 gears, but I`m going to try to take alot of stuff off. I`m going to start over again. I don`t like the 08 super duty`s , alittle afraid of the 6.0. Don`t want the new cummins either. I think I`m going to go with a 06 or 07 dodge with the 5.9 crd. but I will cross that bridge when I get to it. the next truck will be better!! Thanks again for the great input!!
