toyo's on stock rims

anyone here got any pics of 315 toyo mt's on their 16 inch rims?

I'm looking for a new set of tires and have BFG at's now and like them but was thinking of trying the toyos instead.

onlinetires.com has them listed for $215 a piece which is a great deal... but I wonder if they will look funny. been checking the classifieds for wider wheels but till then, you think they'll be ok?

if you look on the inside of the driver door it will tell you your factory rim size

Re: toyo's on stock rims

I had Toyo 295's on the stock rims when I bought the truck. Could not get them to wear right no matter what pressure I ran, wore the centers out way to early, have 285's now and seem to be wearing better.

Re: toyo's on stock rims

My stockers were 16x7 as well. I don't think I'd run anything bigger than a 285 on them. But I know plenty of guys who have run 315's without problems. They just don't wear very well

Wider than 285's will cause the tire to ballon and wear the center like crazy on a 7" wheel.

Now if you can find some tall skinny ones, go for it.

Re: toyo's on stock rims

so how wide do you think is needed for a 315?

I'm actually running 315 bfg's now and they wear alright, but since i'm looking at different wheels anyway, what is proper for a 315? I would like a 10inch wide rim and stay with 16inch wheels because tires are more expensive the bigger the wheel...
