Re: Backup sensors...?

IIRC it will turn itself off if it senses a short in one of the sensors. does it normally happen after a good rain?

Re: Backup sensors...?

When I bought my 06, the sensors were constantly off. Ford said all were bad, so I said replace em (under warranty, not mine dime!) even though the chances of that were slim to none. Once replaced they didn't work, end of the day,had to go back again the next time they had an appointment. Ended up being a harness, that had to be ordered (same as the sensors..) finally ended up getting the harness, and put it in myself since I didn't want to wait for half a day for them to do a 20 minute job.

Found one of the wires was corroded out of the plug, and I assume the tech that did the sensor replacement - yanked out a wire from one of the sensor plugs in the harness!

So there is something to check before paying for those sensors!

Re: Backup sensors...?

I wish mine would die....it's the most annoying thing next to the seat belt dinger.

Re: Backup sensors...?

mine was caused by a broken wire in the harness, was an easy fix
