Tire and wheel question

I'm thinking about going with 20x12 fuel hostage wheels on Toyo proxes 305/50/20. Question is this wheel to wide? I'm concerned about blowing out tires while driving. What do yall think?

It's gonna be close, but sounds like it should be OK.

Re: Tire and wheel question

I think its to wide a wheel. A 305 is 12.1" wide, not really safe for a 12" wide wheel... And it will make it look like chit too.

Re: Tire and wheel question

They're approved for 11's in the width range. I'd say go for it. The section width is 12.1, and it's a short tire, so I doubt the tread width is too much under that. They may not look awesome, but I don't think it'll be bad...
