Re: 4 pod pillar mount

I would get a 3 pod unit. My 4 pod is in the way of the visor and it really bothers me.

Re: 4 pod pillar mount

I am pretty sure mine is an autometer pod. As far as the visor you just have to fip the one tab behind the gauge when you put it down. It doesn't bother me at all to do that.

Re: 4 pod pillar mount

I have glowshift with tinted lenses. They are just as accurate as any other brand and their customer service is awesome. I screwed up the wiring on the trans guage and sending unit. They sent me 2 new guages and 1 sending unit free of charge before i realized my ground wire wasn't even connected

The only bad thing about them is with the tinted lenses it's kind of hard to see in the daytime unless you have really dark window tint and it shades the interior.

Re: 4 pod pillar mount

We sell a ton of Glowshift pods and they all fit really well.

If you would like I can send you over a price on the pillars

Re: 4 pod pillar mount

I had searched a lot before buying the isspro gauges I bought originally and from several posts decided that the egt gauge with glowshift might not be as acurate as I wanted. Also there were a few guys not diesel specific saying the same thing about the tinted lenses and day time visability. Most of the info I looked at said that for the money spent the glowshifts were a decent value. I ended up going with a autometer pod from fcdp. I'm really looking forward to getting it installed.

Re: 4 pod pillar mount

My Autometer 3 pod fit perfect, excellent line up. WWhen I went to a 4pod, I used the glowshift. Does not fit nearly as well. The visor issue does kinda bug me too. Between the 2, autometer is the best. You get what you pay for.

Re: 4 pod pillar mount

FWIW even with the autometer pod, the visor is still gonna hot the pod, that doesn't change with brand. Its not as bad as it seems, or maybe I am just use to it after having a quad pod for 4 years now.

Re: 4 pod pillar mount

IMO, the visor is no issue. It has a little bend in it and you can bend it past the 4th gauge no problem. I have the Autometer 4 pod, and it fits fairly good, but my Autometer 2 pod did fit a little better...
