How Stupid/Dumb/Retarded/Bad Idea Is This??

Looks like I'll be pulling the front clip/core support/fender supports.

I'll have the front pulled down to about this far...

Anyone able to tell me how bad of an idea it might be to tack nuts to the back of a lot of it, and use bolts to mount it all so that it's removable?

I know I'll be doing a lot to this truck forever. Once I get everything the way I want, I will probably stick with it until it rots out from under me. So a removable front clip would be nice for pulling the motor and whatnot...

Anyone tried it? Horrible idea?

Never heard of anyone doing it myself. Sounds pretty cool to me though. Be alot of work considering how much attaches to the clip from the inside. Sounds doable.

i personally wouldnt do it, youll have issues with the bolts coming loose possibly. and i also immagine it would be a very good reason for the dept. of transportation to hassle you, if they ever looked.

welding is the safe bet...pulling the motor on these trucks really isnt hard for when you go big on the peformance side
