question about 05 grill mod to an 04 truck

I have an 04 as it says in my sig. If I buy a used 05 grill from someone and want to put it on my truck, what do I have to modify on the new grill to fit it to my 04? directions or a write up on this somewhere?

if you want to keep your stock bumper all you need to do is trim some of the bottom off the grill...they use to sell precut 05+ grills on ebay but I havnt looked for them in a long time..basically the 05+grill is taller than your 04

The precut 05+ grilles are like $300+ last time i looked at them... Buying a used one and cutting it myself was gonna be my option. Much Cheaper.. Think though you have to trim of like 1/2"-1" off the bottom of the 05 grille, not 100% sure on that though...

If you trim an equal amount off the top and the bottom it looks SOOO much better. I think I saw this on somebody's truck, can't remember whose.

It takes a little bit of effort since you have to trim the corners on the top to keep the same angles, but man it makes a world of difference.

Looking for a second 6.4L....
