hat hook thing

Has anyone removed the hat hook thing and mounted anything else there? I am thinking about removing that stupid hook and mounting my cb there. I have made a case for the cb out of 3/4 MDF board and think it would lok good mounted in that place. Anyone done this already? Does/will it hold the weight?

Re: hat hook thing

I never thought about that will have to do a reach check tomorrow when I have my case finished. I was going to mount it on the front of my center counsel but did not like how it looked and no real place to mount the case to the counsel

I've also been wondering what that hook is for. Works good for those little tree air fresheners. That's what I use mine for.

no room with the moon roof. The trash bag area is the only area that has the room
